The story of Wokingham Methodist Church, often called Rose Street Methodist Church, from 1967 to 2000, with a look into the future.

 This book picks up the history of the Church from where Rev Ralph Bates left it. (Methodism in Wokingham 1817 - 1967, by Rev Ralph Bates). 
It traces the work and development of Wokingham Methodist Church through the years of rapid population expansion in the surrounding area during the 1970’s, and the gradual adjustment to changes in society with the approach of the millennium.  

 The story is essentially in two parts.

The main part deals with the chronological events and the developments necessary to deal with the growth of the congregation.
The second part, by means of referenced appendices, expands on various aspects of the life and work of the many groups and organisations within the church, together with personal reflections from many who shared in its activities.

It closes with a look at the plans and prospects for the Church as we go forward into the new millennium.
