This year has been a busy one for the Church Art
Group, we met as usual, on the second and
fourth Thursday evenings during the building work.
In
August, most of the group contributed to
the art exhibition that was held in the main Church as
part of the Big Idea. The response was very
encouraging
and it was inspiring to see the work
of other art groups associated with Rose Street.
We don't usually have lessons but we do try and
share the techniques that have been learnt on
courses or classes.
We use the time together to
finish or continue with projects that we are
working on
individually.
The group enjoyed producing decorations for The
Festival of Christmas Trees, these were very
successful and we had sold several of them
before they reached the tree!
Our proceeds and
donations went towards the FLOC project.
Now we are able to use The Bradbury Centre, we are meeting in 'Mark' between 7.45 and 9.30.
